Life has changed!

The 2020 Wedding season has started with a few private ceremonies but no traditional weddings.  A friend of mine told me about a wedding ceremony in New York City.  The bride and groom stood alone on the street and the officiant was in a high rise shouting out of the window!  That couple will remember their wedding ceremony forever!

If you are one of the couples that had their dream wedding planned and had to cancel, I am so sorry.

But let’s look at it in a positive way.  You need not cancel but postpone.

That will give you more time to get to know each other (good or not so good) If you are working together from home you will learn more about each other and the skills that you will need to have a happy marriage than a couple who has been married 25 years!   That means you are 25 years ahead of the game.

It is a lesson in realizing that you are not in control!  If you are planning on having a family that is a great lesson to learn.

It may be a lesson in changing plans.  The new plan may be much better.

It certainly is a lesson in patience.  A lesson in patience is good for everyone not only those who are about to be married.

Hopefully one of you will be working with a paycheck or you will learn a forced thrift.

You will have time to dream.  Ponder on what is important in life.  Look forward to your marriage.

Stay safe, support each other any way you can, and celebrate your love.
